The primary task of mobile robots is to transport materials throughout a facility, which is made easier by the next-generation Autonomous Mobile Robots that can navigate on their own without tracks. Operation teams can reconfigure their mission, and even change their task on the fly. These capabilities enable Autonomous Mobile Robots to be more productive than their predecessors (AGV).
